The grate that can be seen in front of the barrier drains excess water from the area until the point that the storm water drainage system is no longer functional. Water will then build up around the drain causing the FloodFree Concealed Barrier to rise. This is a passive flood barrier. It deploys without any power or human operation, proven to operate at any hour of the day or night, even during blackouts.

The side frames and top surface can be customised to suit site requirements. A variety of non-slip options, and colours are available.
