Behind the scenes at FloodFree: another Concealed Flood Barrier taking shape in our AWMA manufacturing facility.

Designed for high-risk urban environments, the passive flood barrier is installed below ground in a vertical position. While it requires a deep pit during construction, its minimal above-ground footprint ensures it integrates seamlessly into the surrounding architecture.

Once in place, the system remains completely hidden, until it’s needed. Triggered automatically by incoming water, the barrier rises to protect vulnerable entry points from flood and stormwater ingress. It deploys without power or human intervention.

This 6.5m wide barrier is destined for the entrance of a major high-rise complex, providing essential protection for commercial businesses and public spaces within the precinct.
