Testing a Concealed Barrier

This video demonstrates how a passive Concealed Flood Barrier self-deploys as water enters the barrier system, then retracts once water levels recede.

Using simple principles of buoyancy, the concealed barrier activates as water enters the adjoining drain, requiring no power and no manual intervention. A true “just add water” flood barrier solution, engineered to protect building entry points from water ingress during floods and heavy rainfall events.

This flood barrier is fully concealed under normal conditions, hidden below ground when not in use, pictured here during Factory Acceptance Testing undertaken at AWMA's manufacturing facility.
